Therapeutic Group Home Programs

The Children's Home Community Services (CSI) proudly runs three Therapeutic Group Homes for Adolescent Girls ages 14-21.  Each Home is licensed and funded by the Department of Children and Families. Our programs are designed to provide girls with the skills and resiliency necessary for them to move out on their own in the community of their choice.

Our framework is one of empowerment and respect that recognizes the individual’s physical, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual needs and desires.  It is a framework that is strength and relationally based and oriented towards skill development and empowerment.  It is a framework that recognizes that individual functioning is a reflection of the individual’s ongoing attempts to adapt, succeed, and feel safe and recognizes that their past experiences have shaped their basic identity, world view, and spirituality.  All of this is accomplished in a community setting.

The girls who live in our Homes learn to run their own household, from shopping to cooking to cleaning to paying bills. They attend community events and learn how to give back to their community. They also learn how to emotionally move into adulthood, through a comprehensive clinical, which includes individual, group and family therapies.
