The ROPES Challenge Course
“Rope Challenge Courses (also called Ropes Courses and Challenge Courses) are 'artificial mountains'”
We utilize a broad range of adventure based experiential learning activities to identify and enhance various Life Skills. The results are dynamic, energized, successful individuals and teams.
Our Ropes/Challenge Course is a series of High and Low “elements” (activities) built into the trees of our wooded campus in Cromwell, CT. Our low elements include a number of small to large group challenges on or up to 4 feet off the ground. Our High elements are a series of activities that take place up to 35 feet off the ground!
We will design, with you, a specialized program to meet your specific training and educational objectives. Our Ropes programs range from half a day adventures to customized multi-day programs. Our lead facilitators will collaborate with you to determine the goals and objectives you wish to achieve. Once these have been established and a time frame determined we can then tailor a program specifically for you.
Life Skills, Leadership Development and Team Building
We emphasize trust, communication, cooperation, self-esteem, problem solving, guided self-discovery, and personal responsibility (Life Skills). As participants work together through physically and mentally challenging games, initiatives and elements, leadership skills and teamwork are the main focus. Observation, discussion, planning, organization, and physical activity play a central role in every program. Then, thru debriefing each activity, we encourage the generalization of skills learned on the ropes course to real life situations.
